My Vegas hotel's pool is supposedly "closed for winter" but I'm literally watching guests splash around in 70-degree weather right now. Do most hotels and resorts close pools during winter months like other places? Or does the desert climate keep them running all year?

Tried sneaking into Disney's Grand Floridian pool with my Art of Animation resort key but got stopped at the gates. I'm staying at one resort but heard some of the other Disney hotels have amazing pools. Can I just wander over to check them out, or are they pretty strict about keeping people at their own resort pools?

Also curious if there are any loopholes - like if I have dinner reservations at another resort, does that give me pool privileges? Just trying to maximize our pool time without getting kicked out by security!…more

Three different sources are telling me wildly different drain times for my above ground pool — my contractor says 6-8 hours but the pump manual clearly states 2-3 hours maximum. Now they want to charge me $300 just to drain my above ground pool for the winter! That's ridiculous.
