Replaced my pool financing research with Southwest points after the airline's manual says no home improvements, but contractors keep telling me they've seen customers pay this way. I've got a ton of Southwest Rapid Rewards points saved up from travel, and I'm wondering if there's any way I can use them to help pay for the pool construction or at least some of the equipment and supplies I'll need.

The pool contractor is asking for a big chunk upfront and I'd love to put my points to good use if possible. Has anyone found creative ways to use airline points for pool expenses? I'm pretty new to this whole pool ownership thing so any guidance would be appreciated!…more
